Our Approach To Ministry

Here at the Vineyard we believe that every believer is called to do the ministry of Jesus. For too long ministry has been reserved for the “professional” clergy and not available for the members of the church. According to Ephesians 4:11-16 the role of the pastors & staff of the church is that of a player/coach who are called to help train, mentor and equip everyone to do the works of Jesus. We call this “doing the stuff.”

We believe in Servant Ministry. Jesus came to live among us as a servant, giving his life in a service of love to show us how to live to glorify His heavenly Father. He set the example for us to see ministry as the giving of our own time, energy and resources in service of others.

There is a place here for everyone! We are not called to sit on the sidelines and watch others play the game. We are called to be a part of the great adventure of loving God and being participants in building His Kingdom here in the Shreveport/Bossier area.

We have many exciting areas of ministry here at the Vineyard. We are committed to constantly examining and adjusting what we are doing in light of the calling of Jesus to reach those in need around us by serving and also bringing them into relationship and discipleship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
