Welcome to the Vineyard!

Whether this is your first visit to the Vineyard & our website, or if you are a frequent flyer–Welcome!  Our desire is to help you become better aquainted with the ministry of our fellowship and to keep you updated on current events and happenings.

Our History

The Vineyard Church in Shreveport began as two small groups in June of 1985.  Doug & Kathy Sanders, pastors of the Vineyard, were on staff in another church in the area at that time and began this ministry with the full blessing and sending of that local church.

Our first Sunday service was during Labor Day weekend in early September of 1985.  We began meeting in Howard Auditorium of Centenary College.  Since then we have been located at several facilities and are now presently meeting back at Centenary College.

In the Spring of 1993, the Vineyard Church of Minden was planted out of this fellowship here in Shreveport.  This was followed in 2002 by helping to establish another Vineyard church plant in North Louisiana in the West Monroe area.

Our Association

Vineyard Shreveport is part of the growing Association of Vineyard Churches that combines the best of conservative evangelicalism (with its emphasis on the Word of God) with the best of the charismatic and Pentecostal traditions (with their emphasis on the Spirit of God).
